Jude posted a video review of JH Audio’s latest iteration of their 12 BA driver 4 crossover Layla IEM. In this iteration, they are using 3D printing to create the audio channels rather than discrete tubing as in the original versions. This reduces the size of the IEM down to a manageable size as many folks didn’t like the size of the prior models. Personally, I don’t have an issue with the size of my Gen 1 Laylas but I also do use them as my mobile IEM. Additionally, one has to assume the new manufacturing process significantly reduces the labor necessary to build them. It will be interesting to see graphs on the audio performance of the 3D printed channels versus the individual tubing. Enjoy the video review below.
