An interesting short article by Gilbert Hetherwick giving some background behind the release of the new high definition RCA “Living Stereo” series. I wasn’t aware that they are going back to the original masters and re-edited each album correcting some technical issues which occurred in their original release back in the ’50s.

The premise of the article is that The Who may have actually matched or exceeded the accomplishments of the original “Fab Four” when you consider their progression from the release of “I Can’t Explain” in 1965 to “Tommy” in 1969. A great read.
